What marble is
Marble is limestone recrystallized under heat and pressure, which is where the veining comes from. It is the classical choice — cool to the touch, luminous under light, and the reason pastry chefs and sculptors have used it for centuries.
Why homeowners choose it
- Unmatched veining and depth — no engineered surface truly copies it.
- Naturally cool, which is why it is the traditional surface for rolling dough.
- Perfect for vanities, fireplace surrounds and feature walls where wear is gentler.
- Over seventy varieties available, so the palette runs from near-white to deep red-brown.
Care & maintenance
Marble is softer and more porous than granite. Wipe spills right away — especially wine, citrus and other acids, which can etch the polish — clean with a neutral, stone-safe cleaner, and reseal every one to four years.
